  • Real Estate Brokers Certificate Course.

              - Advanced program covering property laws, valuation, management, and finance.

  • Real Estate Management & Agency covering property management, valuation, and sales techniques.


Degree Programs.

  • Related fields like business management or marketing can also be beneficial.

Skills and Experience Requirements.

  • Sales and marketing roles;

Core Skills.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Strong sales techniques (building rapport, needs-based selling, and closing deals).
  • Digital marketing skills including SEO, social media, and content creation.
  • Customer relationship management.
  • Market analysis and research capabilities.


Experience.

  • Entry-level position is 1-3 years in real estate or related sales fields.
  • Experience selling specific property types (e.g. Residential properties).
  • Gain hands-on experience in marketing and sales.

  • Attended training like the Real Estate Marketing Training Course covering:

            - Digital marketing techniques.

Residential property manager Qualifications.

1. Educational Qualifications.  

  • Degree or Diploma: A degree or diploma in business administration, real estate, property management, or a related field - Other considered courses are; Diploma in Real Estate (Property) Management.  
  • Short Courses: in property management, covering tenant relations, maintenance, legal aspects, and basic accounting.  
  • Certification:certification from recognized bodies (e.g., Estate Agents Registration Board (EARB)) enhances credibility.  

2. Required Skills & Competencies.

  • Market Knowledge: Understanding Kenya’s property market trends, rental laws, and valuation methods.  
  • Communication & Customer Service: Essential for tenant relations, dispute resolution, and landlord negotiations.  
  • Financial & Legal Acumen: Ability to handle rent collection, budgeting, and compliance with laws like the Land Act, Rent Restriction Act, and Landlord-Tenant laws.  
  • Organizational Skills: Managing maintenance schedules, tenant screenings, and property inspections efficiently.   

4. Experience & Practical Training.  

  • On-the-Job Training.
  • Prior Experience: Experience in customer service, sales, or real estate is an added advantage.
